Earthquake in Gulf Shores.
Last year we have the worst disaster known to mankind via BP and the Oilspill…. and let me tell you that was no where on the Radar.
Now Guess what…Oh honey we had an EARTHQUAKE.
Yeah you know the kinda thing that happens out in Cali or somewhere near the ring of fire?? Talk about off the RADAR.
Now the Good News, NO TSUNAMI!! or we would have had water running down our street.
I swear I was working on website and my screens started shaking sometime after 5pm….problem is that happens alot in this Townhome we live in!
OK actually it was 10 miles offshore.
Here are some of the stories I have been able to find on it so far. It Looks to me like it was down off of the end of West Beach or halfway down the Fort Morgan Peninsula.

3.5 Magnitude Earthquake Off the Coast of Alabama
Epicenter is less than 10 miles off the coast of Baldwin County in the Gulf of Mexico
Gulf Shores, Alabama – The United States Geological Survey confirms a 3.5 magnitude earthquake in the Gulf of Mexico.
It happened at 5:15pm at coordinates 30.180°N, 87.848°W.
News 5 first heard from a man on Dauphin Island who says his home, which on on pilings, swayed back and forth for at least five seconds.
We also received a call from a woman in Orange Beach who also felt the shaking in her second floor condo.
We have crews on the way to Dauphin Island and Orange Beach and will have the latest information for you tonight on News 5 at 10pm.
